Call for 2024 Rental Proposals – CLOSED!

The Artists’ Network is welcoming exhibition proposals from the visual arts community, curators, artists, collectives, working across a wide range of mediums to exhibit in its Leslie Grove Gallery during 2024.

The Artists’ Network is particularly interested in engaging proposals from diverse creative communities to share their respective voices.  We also encourage proposals that challenge the visual arts’ definition and boundaries, whether socially or aesthetically. Besides a gallery exhibition, submissions can include an artist’s talk, art demonstration, community participation event.

Leslie Grove Gallery is located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Leslieville – just is steps away from other art galleries, boutiques, restaurants and cafes that draw many visitors to the area, especially on weekends.  We offer over 70 linear feet of hanging space plus 12 linear feet on a moveable display module that allows you to customize your exhibit. With a total of 635 square feet of space, the Leslie Grove Gallery is the perfect venue for hosting your next solo or group show. Our marketing team will extensively promote your exhibition

  1. GETTING INFORMED: Please read all information below to prepare the required submission information. Please reference the Rental Information Package to plan a successful exhibit at Leslie Grove Gallery. Also, take a look at our past rental shows.
  2. COMPLETING YOUR SUBMISSION: All submissions must be submitted through our platform, Eventeny; it is FREE to create a profile. Once you have a profile, follow the submission input fields, and pay the submission fee.
  3. NOTIFICATIONS: Once your submission has been juried, you will be notified. Early month requests will be reviewed as they come in to allow sufficient time for planning.

  • We use the Eventeny platform service for our submissions form. You will have to create an Eventeny account if you haven’t already.
  • WARNING NAVIGATION AND DEVICE USE: please do not use  Safari or smartphone or iPad when completing your submission form

Information Required on Submission Form:

  • Business name
  • Artist name
  • Website and Social media platform  (if applicable)
  • Describe the theme of your exhibition, including a distinctive title that relates to your artwork and expands upon it; how the medium and format of artworks reflect your main idea.
  • Choose three prefered rental periods/months in the order of priority.
  • Additional Activity: Describe how your artist’s talk or demonstration or community event will be carried out.
  • Group Shows: List confirmed or potential artists with a very short artist’s statement and bio for each artist.
  • Solo Shows: Provide artist’s statement and bio


    • Quality image of the artwork. Note we do not accept images of framed artwork, please crop images to the outer edges of the artwork or the background of a 3D work.
    • FILE FORMAT ACCEPTED: .jpg, .png, 5Mb maximum, recommend 1500px on smallest side, 72 DPI.
  • You will be required to input fields for each image:
    • Title
    • Category/Medium
    • Price
    • Year
    • Description of the artwork (optional)
  • The submission form can be saved and resumed at another time before the deadline.

– Sales of all work displayed at the Leslie Grove Gallery during the Gallery Rental are subject to 15% commission which includes any applicable processing fee.

Group exhibition: All artists must be members of the Artists’ Network to qualify for the member’s rate.

Non-members: We welcome submissions from all artists. You are encouraged to join the Artists’ Network (full annual fee must be paid) and you will automatically receive the member’s exhibition discount.

February Opportunity: Given the short timeline, we have created a special opportunity for an exhibition in February; the rental fee for February is: 3 Week: $1400 Member or $1,800 Non-Member; 2 Weeks: $1000 Member or $1250 Non-Member.


  • The artist is responsible for artwork insurance. The Artists’ Network and Leslie Grove Gallery are not liable for theft or damage of artwork during the exhibition, installation, takedown, and removal. In addition, we highly recommend that all professional artists should carry their own liability insurance for all their business activities.
  • During your Opening Reception, if you choose to provide alcohol (gratis, not for sale) you must obtain a special event liability insurance certificate and name the Artists’ Network of Riverdale as an additional insured. If your opening reception does not include alcohol the Artists Network will include your reception in our own gallery operations liability policy at no charge.
  • A number of companies offer this insurance.  We do not recommend one company over another and companies are available through a simple internet search. One example of such a company is


  • Rental Periods (include the Tuesday for installation)
  • All shows begin on a Wednesday and end on a Sunday.
  • You may select three rental months in the order of priority. Please note that there may be higher demand for certain months, we will reach out to offer alternative dates if your preferences are not available.
  • Please note Leslie Grove Gallery hours are Wed – Sun 12-5 PM


If it’s important to showcase your show in an online gallery and storefront, artists have two options:


  • Artists may provide one url address that we will link to your show profile on our website.
  • Any sales are subject to a 15% commission due to the Leslie Grove Gallery.


  • The Leslie Grove Gallery Store is our online gallery and e-commerce store.
  • FEE: $300 for up to 30 works. Additional fees may be incurred for a larger number of works.


  • The gallery will assist you with the hanging of your show on the Tuesday before your show opens to the public the following day.
  • The gallery is staffed during regular opening hours. Wednesday to Sunday 12-5 pm
  • Staff will be on-site for your Opening Reception to be held on a Thursday evening or weekend afternoon.
  • It’s your show, and your opportunity to showcase your work. We strongly encourage artist presence in the gallery as much as possible, Artist Talk and/or Artist demonstration. Additional fees may apply for events scheduled outside regular gallery hours.
  • Gallery offers buyers pick-up service.
  • Artists’ Network charges a 15% commission on artwork sales, which includes a 5% processing fee for all artwork displayed in the gallery and sold during the duration of your show.


You are responsible for providing the graphics and text, outlined in the Rental Information Package, to the Gallery at least two weeks before the start of your show to ensure marketing services are deployed in a timely manner.

Our communications and marketing team will actively promote your exhibition where possible through various channels but the primary responsibility for promotion lies with the artist or artists renting the gallery.

  • Weekly emails to our community and members lists.
  • Submission to all relevant free event listings.
  • Listing on gallery Homepage, Upcoming and Past Events pages.
  • A co-hosted Facebook event through the Leslie Grove Gallery Facebook pages can be arranged.
  • Organic Instagram and Facebook posts and reposts throughout the event.
  • The featured exhibition on if applicable
